Reflection

Maybe all of us fourth year high school students are sad because the days that are left in our high school life is already counted. Lots of lessons were learned during our life in high school. Not only lessons in each subjects but also lessons in life.
ICT IV has been a very interesting and challenging subject throughout the year. Editing using Adobe Photoshop is our main topic in the fourth grading. We had more discussion than the previous grading and that's a good thing for us students.
As we enter the college life, we open another chapter in our life. We should be more brave and take thing more serious than the previous years. We will be taking the road to what we want ti be so we should go with the flow of life. Don't forget to be happy! Good luck to all of us! :D

My dream, My future.

Each one of us have our dreams in life. Our dreams in life are our inspirations in doings things. Determination is one of the key in achieving our goals in life. Honestly, I don't know how to go there but I have this feeling of determination that I will still be there when the right time comes.
I really want to become a doctor someday. I don't know why but just imagining it makes me smile and happy. Imagining it makes me pursue harder in what I am doing. It's like its my inspiration in doing things.
We should choose the thing that we love. Someday I'll be in Paris. I wanna go to places I've never been. I want to explore new things in life. I wanna get lost in every corner of the world.
Another things is 'that guy'. My happiness. The one who never failed to make me smile and laugh out loud and even silently. The one whose worth suffering for. I want to be with him in the future and spend the rest of our lives together.
I just want a simple life. Being with the one I love and things I love is what I want to have in the future. Happiness is what I want.

Change, it starts with me.

Many of us are complaining that our country now is suffering from hardships. But can't we think of something that we can contribute to change the world for betterment? Is all that we can do is complain and complain and complain? Poverty is everywhere, even pollution, corruption and other problems that we are suffering now.
We can do a lot of things if we really want to change. We can contribute lot of things to make our country a better one. First why don't we ask ourselves if why are we suffering those kinds of things? Can't we realize that the problems are also from us? We should really do something, contribute something to solve those problems.
We can plant trees to avoid pollution. Even cleaning our yards can avoid pollution and also keeping proper waste disposal can avoid it. Thing is, we should discipline ourselves first before complaining to the government and others.
Who in the Earth don't want to change for the betterment? Of course all us us wants a better life.. what we can do first is just discipline ourselves.

Kannawidan Festival

Based on what I've searched, Kannawidan is a festivity which the City of Vigan celebrates every year. In this festival, the Ilocano people showcase cultural shows, native products and the talents of the Ilocanos. 
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival became an annual festival that aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province' rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products of the province.There is a need to preserve our rich heritage and unique culture. With this in mind, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur has conceived a festival that highlights these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. Dubbed the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, it is also a commemoration of the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province.
This festival is very significant to every resident in the province as they are celebrating the foundation of Ilocos Sur as a province by virtue of the Royal Decree signed on February 2, 1818.

Kannawidan is one of the festivities that we are all waiting for. Lots of progams were launched during this festival. There were also lots of contests and others that the government is conducting. This Festival is really interesting and fun.

New Year, New Me?

Is it really necessary to change yourself or something when another year starts? For me, uhmmmm.. its a big no. Because when you changed yourself into something that you want, its like you are cheating on your own self.
Point is, let us be who we are. Let's be rue to ourselves. Don't try to copy something or what 'cause we want to be like it. Lets live just the way we are not the the way others are.
If we will tend to change ourselves, to it for our own sake not for others. And we should always remember that if we will change something, it will be for the betterment of ourselves.
Well, 2014 has already started, and I just want to go with the flow of it. As simple as that. ;)

3 Down, 1 More To Go. . .

Third grading period is one of the most exciting and challenging period. There were lots of topics that were introduced to us. Many things were added to our knowledge and it will continue to increase as we get  into the finish line of our high school year.
Adding a background image or color, inserting image, HTML links and alt attribute. Those are some topics that we took in our ICT class suring the third grading period. As we go further into our discussion, the lesson is pretty much getting interesting as well. And that's why I am pursuing on it and trying my best to go with the flow.
Determination is needed for us to achieve our goals in life. We should continue aiming for our dreams and never give up! Keep going!

Equal Rights, Equal Oppurtunities

We all know that people have our equal rights. But based on what is happening around us nowadays, is equal rights and opportunities still running? Can money control or change those equal rights and opportunities?

Money can now control one's life. People who have lots of it are the ones who can catch more attention. And because of that, some of us can control equal rights and equal opportunities.

Equal rights and equal opportunities should really be equal, it shouldn't be unfair or there should be no bias on it. Having equal rights and opportunities in each and everyone of us keeps us in peace.

Going Global Through English Language

On the month of November, we are celebrating the English month with the theme, "Going Global Through English Language" and there are a lot of activities that are done during this month.

English language is commonly used worldwide. This language is what we are using to communicate with people with other nationalities. It is faster to communicate with other people by using this language. English language can contribute a lot in our daily lives. So we should keep on using English language in communicating with other people especially those who are from the other countries.

Christmas. . .

Every 25th of December, Christmas or the birth of our Jesus Christ is celebrated by millions of people around the world. But what is really the true essence of Christmas?

People are throwing parties everywhere, exchanging presents for each others, greeting each and everyone. Those are some things that are already just like a ritual to us people when we are celebrating Christmas.

We should focus on the birth of Jesus Christ not in those things. Instead of giving gifts, why should we not just spread the love to each other. Us people shouldn't also focus on Santa Claus. Giving love on Christmas Day is all that matters.

Climate Change: Affecting Our Lives

Based on research, climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruption. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "global warming."
Climate change is really affecting us. It is all because of our wrong doings to our mother-nature. It's like Mother Nature is now taking her revenge little by little by sending storms and other calamities that we are now experiencing. We should treat it right so that we will get good benefits in return.

Reflection!

     Second Grading Period is about to end. There were lots of challenges I faced during this period. But even if its getting harder and harder, I know that this will lead me into something amazing... to success. All of those challenges will all be worth it.

     During the second grading period, I again learned lots of things, not only lessons in our subjects but also lessons in life. I know that I can make my performance better that this grading. Even if I didn't gave my best shot in this period, I will never give up on my dreams.

     Just keep going. There are a lot of things that are waiting for us in our near future. Enjoy and love life. Make the most of it! In everything we do, we should always give our best shot!

My Teacher, My Hero!

     Teachers? They are all part of our lives. Without them, there will be no professionals like doctors, lawyers, engineers and many more. They are one of the foundations of knowledge. Teachers are our road or guide to success. Each of them deserves to be acknowledged for sharing lessons to us students. They keep on inspiring and motivating us students which is really important for us in achieving our goals in life. I salute all the teachers around the world! Each and every teacher will always be one of the heroes entire the universe. 

Unravel the Causes. Build the Solution. Empower Science Clubbers to Action.

Doing great things are something to be proud of. Our world nowadays is already suffering from lots of problems. And of course there are lots of solutions to those problems. Us people will be the one who will find the solutions and those solutions are just everywhere. What will we do to fix those problems easier?

In our generation, some things were already made easier with the use of technologies and other things that were invented by people. There are a lot of ways on how to cure the problems in the world. First, we should find the causes. We are already abusing our mother earth. Problems like pollution are already widespread and we should immediately solve it because it can create many problems. The second way of solving the problem is finding and creating solutions for it. Solutions for our problems are everywhere. If we are really determined to solve those problems, we can do it. Trust in your own ability and have a strong determination while solving those problems. Cooperation is one of the best tools in solving those problems.

All in all, together let us unravel the causes, build the solution and empower Science Clubber into action for a better world.

Modern Day Heroes

All of us can be heroes in our own way. We have our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal and other heroes like Andres Bonifacio, Apolinario Mabini, Diego Silang, Leona Florentino and others. But for you, Who is your Modern Day Hero? Why are you considering him/ her as your modern Day Hero?

I am referring to my mother. She is one of the Overseas Filipino Workers at Greece. I consider her as my modern day hero because she's one-of-a-kind. I know that she is working really hard there. She wants us to study hard, because for her education is really important for our near future. My mother inspires me a lot and no one can ever replace her in my life.

Wika Natin Ang Daang Matuwid

Ang paggamit ng ating sariling wika ay isang paraan ng pagpapakita na ipinagmamalaki natin ang ating pagiging Pilipino. Ngayong buwan ng Agosto, pinagdiriwang natin ang buwan ng Wika na may temang "Wika Natin Ang Daang Matuwid". Ang wika natin ang daan sa isang mas mabuti at matatag na pagsasamahan. Mayroon tayong pambansang wika upang tayong mga Pilipino ay magkaintindihan. ito ang susi natin para sa ikabubuti ng bawat isa sa atin. Mas mapapadali ang mga bagay- bagay kung lahat tayo ay nagkakaunawaan o nagkakaintindihan.
Using your own language is something to be proud of. There are a lot of advantages in using our own language. WE can discover new things by using our own language in communicating with others. Our own language is the key to a successful future, for stronger relationships of people and for a better country.

Reflection

               The first set of our last chances to prove the whole school that we are worth remembering has already ended. During the first grading period, I can say that I've learned a lot in our ICT subject. 
               Our teacher taught us the true essence and uses of the internet. We also created our own g-mail account and blogger account, and to tell you honestly, I really didn't know how to use my g-mail but with the help of our teacher, it made me explore more things on the internet. I also learned to socialize with others through chatting.
               If you will find out the true essence of internet you can learn a lot of things from it. There are so many things in life that we can learn through the use of the internet. There are a lot of things that we can learn in our ICT subject. Just enjoy the subject then we can learn a lot of lessons from it. 

State of the Nation Address Reaction

              Our president, Pres. Benigno "Noynoy" Simeon Aquino delivered his fourth annual State of the Nation Address on July 22, 2013 at Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.
               His speech covered a lot of areas which include the accomplishments of his administration. Pres. Noynoy expressed the confidence he has with his accomplishments. It was good to hear that we are experiencing economic growth during his presidency. In fact, the president received numerous applauses from the audience that includes the senators, congressmen and government officials.
               His fourth SONA has the longest duration compared to his previous speeches but there are still concerns of the countries he missed. He ended he's SONA with words, "I am Noynoy Aquino, and I proudly say to the world: I am a Filipino, how wonderful it is to be a Filipino in these times."

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan

               This month of July, we are currently celebrating the Nutrition Month with the theme "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan." Well, how can we solve starvation and malnutrition ? Are there enough solutions to these problems? Can we really end those problems by working together?
               Starvation and malnutrition are already widespread in our country. Of course, there are a lot of solutions to these problems. One of those solutions are with us people, believe or trust in ourselves that we can answer those problems in life. But we should do something or put those thoughts in our mind into actions. It would be so much better if we will work together. Solving the problem will be easier if we work together.
               Living with a healthy lifestyle can avoid malnutrition. We should work hard for us to have money and buy our own food, through this we can avoid starvation.

Dear Mr. President,
   
               Greetings!
               I'm Charmine Joy P. Rapisura, a fourth year student of Ilocos Sur National High School and this letter is all about my insights on your performance on serving fellow Filipinos and problems in our country.
               You have given the opportunity to serve the Filipinos but many of us claims that our country has no progress yet. Some are also saying that they have a poorer quality of living today. So, how come that you're saying our country is better now? There are a lot of problems that we are experiencing nowadays, some already have proposed solutions for those problems but even if they already have solutions there are still some that are not solved. Try to open your eyes and ears and discover those big problems that our country is experiencing. I don't expect you to be a perfect leader but somehow I am expecting a better performance than the past administrations.
               Thank you sir for reading this letter. God bless you and may the Lord continue to grant you the necessary wisdom and fortitude in every decision that you make!
